BMW 250cc R26
Unjustly overshadowed by its twin-cylinder siblings, the R26 series of shaft-drive single-cylinder touring machines were built to the same exacting standards as the twins, and are, thus, very robust and reliable indeed.
The engine, in modified form, powered the BMW Isetta bubble-car.
This R26 is sharing many components with the twin, made for long-term ease of use and there is still excellent spares availability.
This very nice and sweet running example, is to original specification, except for the higher handlebars which were fitted by the former owner for personal comfort.
