Coventry Machinists Co., ‘Cheylesmore Club’ Tricycle, ca. 1882
This open-fronted, rear-steering tricycle is numbered 3770.
Now in sound, rideable condition, the double driver 48-inch wheels are newly-built.
Similar adjustable spoking and bearing hubs are used, the latter being removeable to allow access through a narrow space.
The 15-inch rear wheel has been quality-manufactured. Other features include a left hand operated spoon brake on each wheel and right-hand stirrup handle steering.
