Griffon 1906 2 3/4 HP ca. 350cc.
Griffon is one of the oldest French makes; motorcycles were built as early as 1902. At first Z.L. (Zédel) power sources were used, next to engines from Moser and Laurin & Klément.
This particular Griffon is equipped with a sidevalve Zédel engine that was specifically constructed for the Griffon Company.
The magneto is placed above the engine in a compartment in the petrol tank, to protect this delicate device from bad weather conditions.
The machine is unrestored and almost complete. Some replica parts are included.
