La Française 1932ca. “Vélo-Moteur Luxe” 98 cc two stroke
The business was started as a bicycle factory in the Paris region; motorcycle production was taken up as early as 1902 and throughout the years various types of engines were used.
In the late twenties the company was taken over by Alcyon.
In the thirties numerous light “vélomoteurs” were brought out of which this is an example.
It’s a ladies’ model that is powered by a Zurcher engine that has a clutch but no gears.
This little machine has been standing in a private collection for quite a few years and is in need of some tender love& care.
