Within Italy in the mid-1950’s a 150cc and 175cc motorcycle was considered a mid-sized bike. So when the 250cc debuted at the 1956 Milan Trade show, it generated considerable interest. With a displacement of 250cc, the Raid considered a large capacity bike, able to crosss the Continent with ease.
With its 4-stroke, single cilinder engine rated 14 HP at 5.600 rpm, the Raid could top out at 115 km/h.
The suspension was traditional MV; a front fork with hydraulic shocks absorbers.
For the 160 kg weight, the brakes were upgraded, with both front and rear drums measuring 220mm.
