Description
Rex 1928 “Supersport” 175 cc Villiers two stroke frame#7840 engine# B 255711
Rex bicycles and motorcycles were produced by the A-B Maskinfabriken at Halmstad, Sweden.
Founder Axel Peter Nilsson had started assembling bicycles in 1896 and by 1908 the first motorcycles rolled out of the factory gates, equipped with Motorsacoche engines.
Later mostly Villiers and JAP power sources were employed and after WW 2 small capacity two strokes with engines from Sachs, Ilo and Husqvarna were built.
This interesting vintage light weight has a sporty two-port Villiers Supersport engine with flywheel magneto ignition and aluminium cylinder head.
An Albion gearbox provides the correct gear ratios and the sports handlebars and aluminium footboards ensure a relaxed ride.
And then there is the basket to provide food and drink for the whole club! This machine has been restored and rides well.
