Hillman Herbert and Cooper ca. 1884 “The Premier “ tricycle.
Both 48-inch wheels are driven by a 1½-inch long link chain.
She’s fitted with a hand-operated contracting band brake, stabilising handle, and a hand-operated ratchet steering to the 17-inch front wheel.
The saddle is mounted on an adjustable Arab Cradle Spring. Interesting detail is the differential gear.
All moving parts are in good working order, the spoking is sound and the rubber tyring is in fine condition.
This rare tricycle has been restored completely and is highly functional.
