Description

FN 1933 “M90 B Luxury” 495 cc side valve single frame # 4484 engine # 2067

By 1930 the FN range had narrowed to only two models, the utility 350 side valve M 70 “Sahara” and the sporty 500 cc ohv M67.
For 1931 a new model was added to the range, a touring machine in the 500 cc class.
The model was designated M 90 and was available in Standard and Luxury versions.
The former had no electric lighting and a black enamelled petrol tank, the latter boasted Bosch electric lighting and a chromium tank with blue panels.
A bulky unit engine with bore x stroke dimensions of 85x 87 mm gives the machine a purposeful look.
Top speed is 100 km/h and the brochure claims a petrol consumption of 3.5 litres per 100 km.
The M90 is a strong an solid construction and weighs 140 kg.
This specimen is an authentic and unrestored machine in fine shape.
