Description
Harley-Davidson 1925 1212 cc IOE V-twin frame & engine# 25 JDCB 10333
From model year 1921 the factory markets a 74 cu. ( 1212 cc) model (bore x stroke 87.4×101.6mm) alongside the 60 cu. ( 989 cc ) machines to cater for the sidecar enthusiasts.
Model year 1925 looks completely different from the older models: a new type of frame causes the saddle position to be 3 inches lower than before, the wheels are smaller in diameter and the petrol tank gets a “ dynamic” teardrop shape. All in all these new models look much more modern than their predecessors.
In 1925 Harley Davidson sells about 15,000 motorcycles, more than 60% of this output are 1212 cc models. Compression ratio is 3,7:1, power output 16 SAE HP @ 3,600rpm.
The unladen weight is 180 kg and the petrol tank holds no less than 20 litres.
This nice machine has been restored a some years ago.
