Harley-Davidson  1980  FLHS-80 “Electra-Glide Sport”  1340cc OHV V-twin  frame & engine # 5H42947JO

In 1965  the FLH had been modernized with electric starting, the first Harley two-wheeler to be so equipped. That led to a name change from Duo-Glide to Electra Glide, celebrating the addition of the self starter, which made the bike accessible to a much wider range of customers. In 1977 a special edition bike was brought out, the 1207cc FLHS Electra-Glide Sport and this model returned  in 1980 to become a part of the regular range but now equipped with the 80cu or 1340cc engine. Power delivered is 64hp @4600rpm and with a compression ratio of 8.0:1 this pushes the bike to a top speed of 160km/h. Stopping power is provided by single discs on front and rear wheels. This impressive machine is in good overall condition and registered for the road.
