Joseph Devey 54“ Ordinary ca. 1883 “Special Express”

Joseph Devey was one of the most successful cycle builders during the early years of cycle manufacturing in Wolverhampton.
In 1873 he started business in a small workshop at 33 Piper’s Row, Wolverhampton and he rapidly expanded the business into a large enterprise.

The machine on offer still has the -somewhat perished- black leather saddle top fitted to a bow spring and features a 17” trailing wheel.
Both front and rear rubber tyres need replacing
