Description
Joseph Devey & Co, ‘Special Express’, 50-inch Ordinary ca. 1882
This nicely restored bicycle has patented detachable 21-inch handlebars with turned grips, lever-operated spoon brake and leg guard.
The Huntington leather saddle has been restored with care.
On the polished steel support spring the acid etched ovoid maker’s name and address are still clearly visible.
The red enamel circular section backbone ends with a kicked fork holding a 16-inch rebuilt trailing wheel.
The driving wheel comes with its original adjustable spokes, 6-inch slotted cranks and white rubber pedals.
