Le Grimpeur 1925 175 cc two stroke single engine # BC 85
The Fernit company built motorcycles under the trade name of “ Le Grimpeur “ ( The Climber) from around 1900 till the early thirties.
Around 1926 the firm was taken over by Dresch but it continued to market machines under the Le Grimpeur trademark.
Various makes of proprietary engines were used, such as MAG, JAP, Aubier-Dunne , Stainless and Chaise.
This charming little two stroke is equipped with an interesting vertical leaf spring front suspension and Bosch magneto and was part of a Dutch museum collection for many years.
