In 1899 Raleigh entered the world of motorcycle production with a bicycle like machine with its engine mounted in front of the handlebars, like the french Werner.
Raleigh closed down the mororcycle production line in 1905.
Not until the closing years of World War I Raleigh would be back in the motorcycle business.
The 1925 Raleigh Model 2 Sports offered here, features a large open flywheel, high cam side-valve sports engine, magneto- ignition and belt drive via a 3 speed Sturmey Archer gearbox.
Restored some years ago and in good condition.
