Description

A wooden framed velocipede bicycle, circa 1869.

39 inch driver, 34 inch tail, diagonal backbone with forged-iron lower strengthening, very elegant four-sided forks with square bearing block sockets, hand brake linkage, long (8 inch) cranks without adjustment.
This machine shows signs of considerable repair and restoration, with elderly repair to frame at head, replacement parts include pedals, handlebar and bracket, brake lever, bearing blocks, pedals and saddle clamps.
Overall old and nicely weathered green repainting presumed from the same time as the more recent components.
